Distinguished Flying Cross:
Nominated by Twenty ... _AH_Jack for a DFC for successfully clearing our CO's six on Mission 34.

Nominated by BBQ ... HQ Approved: _AH_Turbo for the Navy / Distinguished Flying Cross* with Valor: Final Mission of the campaign, with little regard for his own safety, cleared my six of zeroes that were shooting the crap out of me that would have ended in  my certain death  at least twice and pretty sure later on he intercepted another before it got close enough to shoot at me, but it was coming for me and my shot up plane.  Additionally, he is an exemplary wingman. Never complained and throughout the campaign was always there when I needed him, and always waited for me to call him in to finish a kill on a target I had somehow managed to put a few rounds into, then he was right there to blast him.

Nominated by BBQ ... Approved by HQ: _AH_Bear for The Distinguished Flying Cross for his excellent leadership of 1st Squad throughout the campaign. He was consistently prepared and maintained our flight cohesion in every mission he lead without complaint, and when things when pear shaped he used it as a teaching opportunity and focused on how to improve teamwork without placing blame on any specific pilot. I've flown under more than a few squad/flight leaders, and his performance during this campaign as a squad leader stands out as one of the best lead campaigns I've flown.

There will be a bit of a delay in getting these awards updated on the website. My paint programs will not play nice with Win 10. So I can't skin or make ribbons\medals at the moment. Worst comes to worst, I guess I can plug in the old comp and do the work there.

Do I need to send you my copy of Photoshop?

I'll eventually figure something out. I have a newer one, it does'nt work with Win 10 out of the box either but I understand I can patch it into functionaility. It has some quirks I don't like though so I may poke around and see what else is available.

The main program I've always used dates from 1997, it worked fine until Win 7 64-bit which causes it to crash alot. I still preferred to use it despite the crashes and time wasted. Alas, it is completely dysfuctional is Win 10.

DW,

I have a copy of Photoshop 6.0 (old as dirt) and it works well with Windows 10, do you want me to send you a copy?
Salute,

I have Photoshop 6.0 that allows me then to install PS7.

One buggy thing is that it always tries to update. Other than that.. very stable in Win10.

I don't think I need you guys to send me anything, thanks. I'll keep in mind that program as a possible replacement though.

The old program I always used was called Corel Photo-Paint 8. When I got Win 7 and it started crashing I got a copy of Corel Paintshop Photo Pro x3. I did'nt like some of the things it did though, so I kept using Photo-Paint 8 despite the crashes.

Alright, the Solomons Campaign awards have been added to the squadron pages. Congrats to all the awardees and let me know if I missed anything.

I must ask that in future the awards list could be organized by pilot, it would make things mucho easier for me. Everyone was kinda spread all over the place, had to keep going over and over the list. Some of the nominations were for pilots of X squadron on Y mission without listing who from that squadron actually few Y mission. Had to go back through the scoring thread, only some of the score images no longer work. Ahhhh!!  :bomb-034:

What missions do you need. I have all the data.. damn Photobucket went to a pay site half way through the campaign.

Are they Mission #5 and #32?

I can PM them to you?
