S~ All,
After Fn'F last night, Jack mentioned that he will be hosting a Coop Night on Monday night. So, in prep for that, I've sent Jack a few historical missions.
This is a shout out to anyone who has a historical mission idea, I would gladly recreate that mission for you, just let me know what you'd like to see. :)

I see what you did there.. left the Lerche right out. :sad-056:
How about one of the most under appreciated planes of the war? maybe the attack on Taranto, or the Dunkerque, or the Bismarck?

Looking at this more there might be a bit of a typo here, the squadron that took part in Op. Vengeance was the 339th FS, 347th FG. The 475th FG was in New Guinea.
DW
Must you always be so perfect...
Well you mentioned skins but the kites that flew the Yamamoto mission were quite plain looking.

You have a skin like that, quite old though. Named Hogan38_2.
I thought maybe the pic you posted was markings they used later in the war, then I realized it was a different unit entirely.

You're correct DW, my bad. I've corrected the squadron to the 339th :)
Yeah, 399th FS 475th FG is easy to confuse with 339th FS 347th FG at a glance. I was looking back and forth between aircraft profiles scratching my head for a bit.
Its even worse in the ETO with 8th Air Force fighter groups. There is a 352nd group and a 352nd squadron in another group. Same with a 353rd, a group and a squadron. A bunch of duplication like that. You would think they would assign numbers to avoid any confusion but I wonder if it was'nt intentional, maybe to try and confuddle the jerries.

More missions sent to Jack :)
The Legend of Y-29 (updated with Bear's assistance, very much appreciated) :)
