There are no claims to factual events in this campaign it has been made for your enjoyment. We will fly a variety of aircraft throughout this campaign, something different in each endeavor.
High altitude recon planes see enemy activity, expect bomber heavily escorted.
P-47s, P-38s, Spitfires, F-51s will take off from Manston airfeild in AD24/3, Spitfires will join up with the F4Us and F6Fs 10 km to the north.
All aircraft load out for defensive patrol duties, follow your waypoints, keep your eyes peeled!

4- P-47D, 1944 Patrol Pilots: Titan, Gunfighter, Jetdoc, Sandhog.
4- F-51D 30NA, 1948 Patrol Pilots: Hollywood, Bear, Z50,Olds.
4- Spitfire LF XVIe, 1945 Patrol Pilots: SKAT, Darkwing,
4- P-38L Late, 1944 Patrol Pilots: Fraggman, Turbo, Col.Hogan, Gator.
4- F6F-5, 1944 C Patrol Pilots: Taildrag, BBQ, Jack, ShrtAprch
4- F4U-1C, 1945 C Patrol Pilots: Lippy, Gatlingun, Wilder, Greywolf.
( C after the a/c will mean carrier takeoff, all carriers will have catapults)

That Spit XVIe is an interesting bird. A Mk.XVI is basically a Mk.IX but with a US built packard merlin. The one in game has the late war bubble canopy, it also has the option of the standard 2x20mm + 2x.50 E wing armament or 4x20mm instead.

are you saying the 1944 model is better?
Of the P-51? No, I think they are basically the same thing. I think the only difference is some different loadouts.

There is no 1944 model of XVIe, you mean the IXe we had flown previously? They are pretty much the same aircraft, the XVIe just has a bubble canopy and some extra loadouts.
