New stationary planes:

All the new slot planes by 303_Kwiatek and the above planes are made available as stationary also. More than 45 new stationary planes included in this release.

Bug fixes and corrections:-

Net code fix (more stable) and new more "tight" checkruntime implemented by |ZUTI| with help and support by HaDeS

Sound  
De-clipped and generally optimized + many small corrections in response to users reports  + new presets included for better general inter-compatibility.
Increased buffet sound volume to allow pilots to 'ride the buffet'. (IvanK's suggestion)

FM corrections: -
Ju52 Seaplane 'destructive' bouncing corrected. (Its still rocky but possible)
Bf 109 F2 engine data had become corrupted, restored to stock 4.09m.
Early I16 &I153 engine data re-referenced to 4.09m, some engines had got corrupted and had too low prop mass.
Beaufighter MkI & MkX updated.

Corrected and improved many little 3d details.
(Apologies for the download size, it is better to overwrite archives sometimes rather than to keep adding the same material multiple times into the archives and I felt that there was enough content to justify the extra size for corrections.)

Sound bug of SAKAE engine planes corrected.

Corrected the WEP/Boost messages on German planes with the German one by HaDeS.

-AAA can't see in the night without searchlights
-AAA in the night starts shooting with a much smaller distance without searchlights. Distance depends on the illumination.
-AAA don't shoot in bad weather, if friends planes are near
-AAA has new firing logic from ships
-AAA is now shooting up to 1 meter above the ground
-AAA now you can "scare enemy AAA" (AAA don't shoot about 3-4mins.if you scare AAA humans will be run out.

S~ Th coop i was in where he couldn't see the planes was a AAA UI version 1.1.1 game.. my guess is he wasn't running the correct version...  


Tonight's ESC mission will be my last flight until this version thing is settled.


(And I'm not in any way implying that any one that was instructed to install and fly 1.2 without having 1.1.1  is at fault. Those guys were just following instructions.)

The official AH version is STILL AAA UI1.1.1.   Any and all that have the UI 1.2, UltraPack, or History Mod-pack are asked to only fly them off line or in non-AH rooms until a vote to move to another version has been taken, and the move made as a group.

At the meeting Sunday, it was asked of all members with HSFX, UP, and the AAA UI 1.2 versions to test and evaluate the versions so we can have a vote at the next meeting.  AT that point, we'll make a group decision as to whether we move to one version or stay where we are.  As I see it, we're still officially in UI 1.1.1, but some are using UI 1.2.  This is causing problems as some of the mods have been amended and conflict.  Once again, all members are asked to use UI 1.1.1 until a move to another version (whichever it is) has been sanctioned.

This might answer some of your questions concerning HSFX 4.1 and UP 2.0. A question was asked of SAS~CirX over as SAS and here is his answer:

We dont support HSFX, we support UP

Why? because HSFX is for SEOW, and UP is for the public. We are even part of the HSFX team, and we dont recommnd it. If you want to play SEOW, get HSFX, if you want to play IL2 online or offline, Play UP.

UP2.0 contains all that is in HSFX, plus many additional things. If you have UP2.0, you also already have HSFX4.1 included. If you have HSFX 4.1, then you only have HSFX 4.1.

SAS is supporting UP more for manual modding for offline use. HSFX is a specialized pack for SEOW, which is a specialized community, and they don't need or want the support of the "unwashed masses".

After HSFX 4.1 and UP2.0, there will come a new , united Modpack, which we will support then, but until then, we 100% recommend UltraPack and 100% and DO NOT recommend HSFX for offline players.

Don't understand this (some idiots say) that we are against HSFX. As I said before, in many ways, we ARE HSFX. In the SAS community, we have Admins that run SAS, from HSFX, UP, C6 and other loony bins. But the whole reason we made UP2.0 is to have a more easily moddable and more encompassing version of HSFX for ordinary players who are not necessarily playing SEOW.

Just to clarify, there are 3 versions to test, HSFX, UI 1.2 (which is patched over the 1.1.1 we play now), and the UltraPack 2.0, correct? I've tested the first two offline, but have not done the UP yet. There are good points in both versions. Should I try the UP to see how it works? Also, what version do I install the UP over?

Install UP 2.0 over 409m official.

There are two DL's floatin around, one is the full 2.0 pack(3 gigish) and the other is the patch that will bring UP 1.8 up to UP 2.0(under 1 gig)

S~.. O well.. so much for the idea that Original Stock Flyable Planes Flight Models  were not being changed and it was only the 'new' planes and  previously AI only flyable planes.

I am in the same boat as Olds.  I have the UI 1.1.1, UI 1.2 and the HSFX versions.   Obviously the UP 2.0 will be the next logical step as it is the latest UP version out there.

I would like to voice my opinion here, and throw it out to anyone who will second my sentiments......  I think we should call a vote and decide very soon.   I think in the interest for all, we need to make a Squadron standard version decision.  I would vote for the UP 2.0 and utilise all it's wonderful attributes (since HSFX 4.1 is alredy included in this one) and you can fly different versions in it as well.  
Designate two or three members as Liason officers to assist with the transition and lets get the boys up to speed asap and flying.  All members are personally responsible for maintaining any "other" versions they are willing to support and fly, however, the UP appears to be the choice of most in the HL, and possibly AH. Saying that, have as many versions that you want (I am partial to the UI 1.2 sounds) and if you want to keep any of the other versions on your puter it's up to you, but until a vote as a Squadron, UI 1.1.1 obviously stands as our game platform for The men of Aces High.   My .02, again....
