S! chaps. Here is a little overview of what we're going to be doing tommorow night.

Basically we'll be trying to clear some enemy units out of our territory and continuing to support our attempts to capture Nuoro. We'll be operating in two groups of 2 flights each with HQ pilots filling in where needed.

Group One :

7 x P-38J - Ground Attack
8 x P-40E - Escort

Group Two :

6 x A-20G - Ground Attack
8 x P-40E - Escort

Most of the P-38s and A-20s are comming in as top-ups from off map(Airstarting in A-1), which means they will have only one landing waypoint. So each group will start off by heading to a rendezvous to join up and meet their escort. Flight leads in each group should make sure to coordinate with their counterparts to join up and keep together throughout the mission. Some aircraft will be landing at a different field than they took off from, this is intentional so pay attention to your landing waypoints.

Group One will be operating in the west. Their first order of buisness will be to rendezvous over Montevecchio Marina in C-3 keypad 9. Once that is complete, this group has 3 objectives to tackle.

First target is an enemy destroyer in the vicinity of C-5 keypad 5. It appears to be alone, sink it.

Second objective is a trio of bridges. The first two are between Cabras and Oristrano in D-5 keypad 4. The third is in D-6 keypad 3. Destroy all 3.

The third objective is enemy ground units around the Oristrano airfield in D-5 keypad 5. Beware of friendly ground units in the area. Enemy aircraft also landed at this field so there might be both friendly and enemy stationary aircraft on the field. Feel free to attack the enemy ones but be certain of your targets.

Once these three objectives are complete or you are out of ammo you are to RTB. The P-40Es are free to carry a 500 pound bomb if the flight leader wishes but they should remember their primary mission is escort. If Group One encounters a large number of enemy aircraft and are overhwelmed, make note of the crossroads in D-4 keypad 8. There are 8 AA guns there.

Group Two will be operating in the east and will rendezvous over Villasimius in F-2 keypad 6. Once together the A-20s will have two objectives.

Firstly, there are approx. 3 enemy patrol boats in G-2 keypad 4. Your task is to sink them. These are small vessels that cannot be strafed and are likely to be moving quickly. It is therefore recommended that the A-20s take the 2 x 500lb + 4 x 300lb bomb loadout and skip bomb. This will give each aircraft 3 drops.

Second you are to head north to Nuoro in F-7 keypad 5. You are to attack any enemy ground units in and around Nuoro. Beware there are many friendly tanks moving into the city, so be sure of your targets.

Once out of ammo or targets, you are to RTB. Same rule applies for the P-40s escorting this group, flight leaders have discretion as far as carrying a 500lb bomb but primary goal is escort. If Group Two gets in over it's head with enemy aircraft, head for Dorgali in the area of G-7 keypad 1. 24 AA guns arrived there last mission and most of them will be active.
