I had shorted Archie on his ground kills and his air kills. My spreadsheet had a couple of errors, which I've fixed. It actually had given DarkWolf credit for 49 ground kills in the first mission which should have gone to Archie. I fixed the scoring.

S! chaps, thought I'd just post this here..
Excellent job on the campaign mission last night. We were quick on getting slotted in and ready, no restart issues. The squadrons stayed formed up and together on the way out. There was good communication back and forth without comms becoming a total cluster. Good spacing while making bomb and rocket runs, the fighters did a good job handling the enemy and splitting themselves up for the trip home so as to cover everyone. We only lost 3 guys, all of them in landing issues. That's not unexpected considering the near total darkness in which we were landing. Given we don't do a whole lot of night flying it was remarkable how many guys we got down with no issues.
One tip that may help with this is adjusting the increments that your speedbar displays. By default I think the games displays speed and alttitude in increments of 10. So it will show 100, 110, 110 mph etc as you accelerate. If you add the following lines to the end of the conf.ini in the [MODS] section (adding the [MODS] header if it's not already there) you can adjust the speedbar to display down to the mph\kph and foot\meter.

This can help you drop down onto an airfield in darkness if you know the exact height of it.

It was certainly an AH record for darkest mission ever attempted, for those of us that landed I'm sure it was the hairiest landing ever. All the missions have been fairly dark, I think this one was just a perfect storm of time of day and cloud cover.

I am with Bear... If the builder chose to put a mountain near the target area then it should have been noted in the briefing. Besides that the P-61 had radar and ours did not. No C.O. would send out a flight on a mission...at night...with low cloud ceilings and not tell 'um about the mountain.

Folks build missions because they feel they have something to offer the rest of the squad. They build them only to contribute. Building a campaign takes a LOT of time and effort.
Criticism only makes the builder feel that his efforts are not appreciated. Remember the Stalingrad campaign by _AH_Crash? Remember when he disappeared in the middle of the campaign, after public and not constructive criticism of one of the missions? I do. That campaign we never finished.
If some don't like the missions, then they might want to learn mission building, and create new campaigns. It'll only take a lot of trial-and-error learning, and whole bunches of time. Did I mention the research that goes into campaign building before even the first mission can be made?

In my day...IFR stood for....I Follow Railroads.
I personally like the challenge brought into the camp. it is what the pilots had to deal with. though a computer does not do roof top flying much justice. I personally am enjoying the camp so well done fragg. I would like to point out that mountains altitude should have been called out so all could be aware especially those coming down from above the cloud. So if you see pilots crashing find out why and announce it - stop keeping things to yourself see something tell someone. Before I was told to shut up I was pointing out that we needed to take measure of the cloud level, have instruments lite up, height of the runway and so on, I might have chosen to do so at a bad time. Talk to your wingman tell him of the situations you are aware of, just because you see it doesn't mean everyone see's it. COMMUNICATIONS is the downfall of every group. And that mission is a prime example of why communication is key to surviving. I personally did not want to go below the clouds, if there aren't any enemy then why go down and give up the advantage. That wont happen again.
I think your speedbar disappears when you crash so unless you were looking right at it, you might not know what alt you crashed at.
