For several months now i have been building a campaign and after many many hours i noticed I made them "coop" style and not really designed for our squadron groups.. there are several different planes mostly in groups of 4 and they will be different in each mission, some the same but all in all a single minded effort to take back France from the Germans using most of the planes we have, powered by my imagination... hahhaha ...
Now all that being said heres my idea..
One week before each mission I will post the planes and there quantities as well as there assigned task for that mission.. as well requests for Flight leaders... now..this will be a post and offer to planes.. you, as members of AH reply with your selection of AC, you can do this as individuals, wingmen or squads... if your posting for yourself and others, (you must name all pilots in your request for planes post) the others not need post but will all take those planes in the game, all those that dont, stragglers or non-AH will be assigned spots at game night... it will look something like this ..

8- B17G, 1944 High Altitude bombing mission 15,000ft 2 group leaders needed
8- P51D-20NA, 1944 Escort B17s and assist landing base take over 2 group leaders needed
4- Tempest MkV, 1944 Ground attack and enemy base takeover 1 group leader needed
4- P38L Late, 1944 Ground attack and enemy base takeover 1 group leader needed
All flyable AC will have zero fuel so there will be lower interference..
Thoughts .. Ideas??

I volunteer to be one of the three guys we'll need to hold Archie down so he does'nt leave early.
I mean, we can make do with two guys but we'd need to supplement with super glue and a few rolls of duct tape.

4Maybe before the FNF tomorrow you can clear the plane thingy for me. I believe it will be week by week selection ahead of time but not the night of, like always.

How many missions will this one be?
Plane selectioin will take place the week before... ex.. after mission 1 has been played out .. that night i will post mission 2s planes
So far i have 13 missions built.. hoping for 25 or so total

I know this is not historical, but was there any interest in making skins for this patch of missions.. I would be willing to help...

Not sure how that would work, looks like we are going to be flying a wide variety of aircraft. The number of required skins could multiply very quickly.

Well if Bear selected say the 4th FG, we could make generic 51 skins etc.
We technically have a week advanced intel before the mission
If not no biggie. Got my own.

DW is correct ... we will be flying alot of different ac throughout the campaign... to list a few, F4U, P51, P38, B17, B24, A20, B25, Spitfire, YP80, Mig9, P47, to name a few... and nothing historical or representative of any group fighter or bomber.
YP-80s and Mig-9s in the ETO? Did you bring BB on as a consultant?

I will be happy to drive a escort or fly a B-17.......Maybe cycle pilots through the aircraft somehow.

Bear, is the info about the planes for the first campaign mission the actual info or just a sample?
If it's the real info I'll take a Tempest, and lead that flight if no one else wants to, or a P 51 if needed.
Will there be any recon pix of the airbase/target prior to the mission?

Protip- If someone comes to the door, take the towel with you. If they're sales people, or anything like that, just throw the towel over your shoulder. If it's a real person, wrap it around your waist.

Personnaly 4 38 and 4 51 for the twenty or so of us that fly isnt very many.
There are 8 51s plus 4 38s plus 4 Tempests plus 2 jets listed in the actual mission thread. Thats 18 fighters plus the bombers.
