Title: Houston, we have a problem.

Evening Folks, I seem to be having issues with my CD that I bought years ago, Error on trying to install, I have a new computer, its a Gaming system,
with a 980 Nvidia. I have 2 options on getting the game,

https://www.gog.com/game/il_2_sturmovik_1946
which one do you guys recommend? Oh and Steam says for
Windows XP and 2000 only. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have a memory stick we can get to you .. Jack usually has them...

  Yep, what Bear said.

  The thumb drive is the way to go.  No hunting around for all the updates and such.

JD,

Asking Jack  sounds like a pretty good place to start. Might be easier just to get on comms tonight or tomorrow night and ask if anyone on comms has one, and go from there because  there's a chance that  the thumb drives are not currently at Jack's as they do get sent around quite a bit.  Usually once the word is out that there's a need for one, it will be rounded up and sent from where ever it is directly to you rather than going back to Jack just so he can then send it to you. 
  Either way,  it'll be brouoght up on comms tonight so we can start figuring it out and get you up and running.

I'll be sending a thumb drive out tomorrow morning or Wednesday, at the latest.
