My Christmas present was ordered this weekend and should arrive sometime this coming week. :) Love the WWI planes. :) It has a 60" wing span with a G46 motor / 65 amp ESC for power.

wow, very cool Dave, a lot of detail for sure.
Hey Dave..if you go out and purchase a #4 lead pencil ( very soft) and rub that lead
all over the metallic parts of that gun, it will make it look more realistic..
I use this technique and it looks very real

Nieuport 17 update ... Successful maiden flight this morning at Las Cruces, NM !!! did 4 laps, looped and rolls good. Does a decent snap roll as well. Landed pretty good even with the winds. Winds were 10-15mph gusting to 20. All in all happy with the flight. :)

The maiden flight went very well, but I was the only flyer at our club field. I did have a witness. A spectator drove up just as I was landing and said that my plane looked cool in the air. :)
I've been trying to get some air pics and a vid, but the city just closed our field down due to the virus, so I'm grounded for the next few weeks until it reopens. Our club has an auxiliary field that I may try this weekend.

I completed assembly, rigged flight controls and the motor cut out function. Verified retracts worked properly.
