  S! chaps. This week we'll be flying a very similar mission to the last one. Once again we will operate in two groups, initially with one in the east and one in the west but we will all end up over Nuoro. Both groups will consist of ground pounders + a P-40 escort as follows :

Group One : 6 x P-38J + 6 x P-40E

Group Two : 6 x A-20G + 6 x P-40E


Group One :  All 6 P-38s will be comming from off map, so they will be airstarting in  A-1. Your first task will be to meet up over Montevecchio Marina in C-3 keypad 9. Once all aircraft are present move on to your first target which is the enemy destroyer in C-5 keypad 5.

Your second target is a lone tank on the Oristrano airfield in in D-5 keypad 5. At last sighting there was a single enemy tank present. There are a couple of friendly tanks moving in so be sure of your target.

Your third target is the bridge in D-6 keypad 3.

Once these objectives are complete, head to Nuoro in F-7 keypad 5 and attack enemy armor in the city. See Group Two's brief for more information on this area.

Once again the P-40 escort is free to take a 500lb bomb but their primary mission is to escort the P-38s. The 8 AA guns at the crossroads in D-4 keypad 8 are still there if you need help.




Group Two : All aircraft will first head for E-4 keypad 6 to form up. Once complete head for Nuoro in F-7 keypad 5 and attack enemy armor in the city. Recon reports approximately 10-12 enemy tanks in the center of the city.  All of them appear to be of the Ho-Ro 150mm SPG type. This type is vulnerable to stafing from the rear with .50s. Beware of a signifigant amount of friendly armor around the town as well as some moving south on the road from Siniscola. There should be no flak in the area at all, so take your time and positively identify your targets.  As with Group One, the P-40 escort is free to take a 500 pounder keeping in mind they are primarily escorts. Again note that there is alot of friendly AA around the nearby city of Dorgali in G-6 keypad 7.

Supplemental : Viper and Slikk are advised against entering each other's personal space in flight. Should another incident occur it will undoubtedly incur an intolerable degree of ridicule from their fellow pilots lasting no less than a fortnight. You have been warned.
