yeah Z, that was some wicked footage. it's chilling watching such a technologically advanced aircraft just fall out of the sky, literally.
i don't think a crash of this type with such a large aircraft has ever been caught on film before.
so far the analysis of it seems to show that one or more of those MRAP trucks (which are 14+ tons a pop) they were caring let loose and rolled aft throwing off the CG.
what a shame.

it reminds me of this video of a de havilland DHC-4 crashing due to the same reason, also very chilling.

   The only thing that kept me from believing that was real film was the fact that the tail wheel never swiveled when the plane turned. Other than that it had me fooled.

since radios were not so advanced, audio clips from WW2 are quite rare.
this make the following radio chatter clip of a lancaster bomber being attacked by a german fighter during a war mission over germany particularly interesting.
the crew seems to panic as the german plane engages the lancaster shortly after the latter has dropped its bombed, and the captain at one point shouts "okay, don't shout all at once!"
eventually one of the gunners manages to bring down the german fighter...

17 minute video made in 1945 to indoctrinate crews transitioning from Europe to the Pacific and flying very low level bombing and strafing missions.
The bomb groups were primarily tasked with ground and anti-ship attacks, inflicting huge losses on Japanese forces, far out of proportion to their numbers.
Great footage of extremely low level actions. Combat footage starts ~10:00.
