Junocam is aboard and will be taking high res photos.  Not sure when we'll get to see them. It took some pix of Earth as it came around for the slingshot effect using Earth's gravity to get it to Jupiter faster. I think that was in 2013.  Junocam is pretty much just for PR purposes though.

Jedi and Jade are two Particle detectors, which are the instruments the science guys are interested in. Mostly taking readings of the magnetosphere and high energy particles there. They want that data so they can learn more about how stars form and that kind of thing.

Jupiter and the rest of the outer planets are in a part of the solar system where magnetic fields affect the energetic particles flying around more than the gravitational pull of the sun, so they can get more information about how things work in the areas of space where magnetospheres, are the  predominate factor rather than the sun's gravity.
   If you wanna know more about that look and listen for news relating to Jedi and Jade.
