Yea, it's playing here Thur., 5 min drive.

It's 1 night only, then goes to HBO in June.

After reading more articles, it seems that the big screen is the best option. Apparently he spent countless hours recording B-17 audio in Florida at the Collins Foundation.

Film makers say the surround sound experience is mind blowing.

RE: COLD BLUE

Saw this last night at the local theater...

It's a remake of the Memphis Belle by Wyler using remaster footage and other un-used clips...

It will eventually make its way to HBO... definitely a good piece of history...

Excellent production...the comparison between the old and remastered footage is amazing! Really enjoyed the movie.

Agreed Olds.

First time I've gone to a movie alone.

It was nice to see younger people there asking their older family/friends questions about the history.

On Monday I will raise my glass and say thanks to the 30,000 plus USAAF, CAF and RAF that didn't come home.

Mrs. Woody and I say next to two Vets on Thursday.. to watch Cold Blue//

One was a Vietnam vet, survived the Tet Offensive and he was a third generation military man, he was there in 68'... his Grandfather was in WWI, his Father and two uncles in WWII and he and this two brothers in Vietnam.

The other was a Air Force National Guard veteran... Served in Vietnam and was also deployed in Gulf War I...

Both of them said often that kids these days have no clue about WWII let alone Vietnam... they thought WWII was after Vietnam...   YIKES!

That is so true, and so sad that many don't. My boys know full well about it. They also have great respect for all veterans, I've made sure of that.

S! to all who have served, and remembrance for all who didn't make it home.

British warbird pilot, Mark Levy, was part of a 21-airplane formation in the annual airshow at Duxford, England when the P-51 he was flying had a partial engine out. Levy recorded the entire event on a pair of point-of-view video cameras, and he shared the images, as well as his lessons learned, in a candid discussion with Richard McSpadden, Executive Director of the AOPA Air Safety Institute.
