Talk about DUMB. 180 gal. external fuel....climb out useing WEP...call comes to drop tanks....now comes the DUMB. Did not turn off WEP...ran out of fuel 60 miles at sea...slept all night in my little yellow rubber raft.Shure wish I had a cell phone and GPS.

Wondered what happened with you, TD. When you ran out I was checking my fuel guage with trepidation.

The good news is you flew back to friendly territory before ditching, so were picked up by the air sea rescue launch. Most of the fellas who bailed last night were not so fortunate.
