Glad we got all that figured out here instead of on comms while trying to get the mission started.   I'll probably come back to read this again just to feel the love because that's some classic AH type bust yer balls stuff right there. I wasn't even a part of it and even my boys feel like they've been bounced a bit because I read DW's question and it seemed pretty reasonable to me so I looked for the answer and..  :surprised-041:, well played.

At that awkward age where your brain has gone from " Probably shouldn't say that" to
"What the hell, let's see what happens"?  Me too.

I'm with you BBQ...seemed like a somewhat reasonable DW question at the time.  Of course you can't let the fact that he couldn't do FNFEOS because he was watching cats just sail on by.  I mean what kind of self respecting virtual reality friends would we be...without some golf shoes type of busting of the nads.

And see...still the always elusive answers are shrouded in the deepest secrecy...

More to follow I'm sure!

LOL  Short.

And sorry about that email I was trying to forward to some one else that a bunch of you got.  Dang hover feature on the phone. I guess my thumb got a little too close to the reply to all button which just happens to be right next to the forward button...great design.

Great turn-out for mission - 19, we had 20 pilots altogether !!!  Here is the next briefing to be flown on Tuesday - July 24th.

"Sicily Campaign"
Mission - 20, only 4 missions left after this to finish the campaign
Date: July 23rd, 1943

After Action Report:

Excellent job hitting the enemy naval convoy !!!  The group destroyed the cruiser and three transport ships.  The group was also able to claim 12+ enemy aircraft victories in the air, as well as, ground vehicles and train cars.

The group has been ordered forward.  Once, one of our targets, it is now become our next base, Lentini airfield.

Intelligence:

Good Morning Gentlemen ... Gen. Patton's 7th Army has captured the capital city of Palermo. Pushing north to the sea and now to the east, the advance has stalled near the village of Cefalu. The British have been fighting for weeks and are now very close to capturing the city of Catania. It appears that both, Gen. Patton and Gen. Montgomery are hell bent on who will reach Messina first, at what ever the cost to their army's.

The result of this rivalry ... is that the enemy is now on the run.  They are being pushed into a corner and now are beginning to evacuate Sicily, using the port at Messina, to move to mainland Italy.

*ATTENTION ALL* - Radar reports incoming enemy aircraft !!!  Looks like they are only 3 minutes out from our location !!!

The Mission:

SCRAMBLE .. SCRAMBLE .. SCRAMBLE !!!

S~ All,

I'm on my way for vacation flying out on this coming Tuesday morning.  :)  I'll be away for the last three missions of the Sicily Campaign, be fret not, I've sent Jack the last three missions so there won't be any issues.

When I get back I'll put together the awards ceremony mission.

We will be off to the Philippines for our next campaign, unless someone else has a campaign ready and wants to run it.  :)
Salute,
