Ur right Jack....that IS PHREAKING GAY....LMAO!!!!! That said, I absolutely loved flying the South Pacific missions. My hat's off to all involved in the creation and operation of the missions. That stuff ain't my strong suit so I'm thrilled to be able to participate when possible. Merci beaucoup.  :lol-029:

Closing thoughts

~S~ all

Just a few thoughts as we turn another page here at AH.

First, in the excitement of the hour I neglected tonight to give some well-deserved credit to a few guys:

1.  To Rgaa:  Thanks for the outstanding banner you came up with for the VMF-223 home page.  No one could have done better!

2.  To Rumely:  Thanks for the outstanding job of keeping up with the scoreboard in a timely and flawless (OK, nearly flawless) manner, and for putting up with my ignorant rantings early on.  First-rate job, my friend!

3.  To Gonzo:  Thanks for the incredibly outstanding job of updating the Wildcat skins for all of the AH VMF-223 pilots throughout the campaign.

Lastly, one observation:  I half-expected the farewell fly-in to be a typical cluster- (expletive-deleted), with everyone doing his own thing and recklessly crashing/frapping in and acting generally like fighter pilots do.

But, not a single (let me repeat:  not a SINGLE) mishap or mess-up from start-to-finish.  Totally professional.

I was thinking to myself:  "Man, there is NO WAY this squadron could have done this a year or so ago."  We have come a long way as a squadron here, guys.  Whether you realize it or not,  you guys are very good at this!

I have never been prouder to have been associated with any group of guys than I was tonight.  Every second I spent trying to get this ("G-damn") Betty flight to keep formation with that one; with this Zeke loose-escort flight to keep to their waypoints, was time well-spent.  You guys made it worth-while.

I salute each and every one of you bums!

Oh it was certainly an event to be a part of !... Thanks again ......  Moggy, something that might be fun to see is a final score page. You know like  when we are at the end of a coop and it takes us to a score page ... example...  Pilot A    score XXX ( being a total of ground and air kills). You have already gone above and beyon the call of duty so don't feel like you have to post something like this. But if you have one already made up or even if you just feel like getting it together, it might be fun to look at. If you dont want to post it, maybe Rum will have the numbers or you could email them to me at jhgrandey@msn.com.

Thanks Again ! :drinking-43:

It is a honor to be with a great group of sim pilots here at AH Moggy is was a h*llva time, I found my self thinking of these mission the next day at work.  I have tried to explain this sim pilot stuff to the people I work with, they just give you a funny look as what the h*ll are you talking about.  This is a great thing to be a part of as I feel that AH will go on and on an on and on for many a year, becoming stronger and building good friendships.  :happy-112:

~S! Moogy and all of AH "thank you for making this sim what it is today"!

I cant believe i missed the fly-in, or half the missions.  dont ya hate it when real life butts into game time?

~S~ Moggy  for your hard work on this, ive only built 2 missions and i cant fathom the amount of work that went into this. Thank you

~S~ everyone else that had a hand in this, my limited knowledge keeps me from naming names but you know who you are and thank you

i would also like to Salute everyone who steped up to be Mission CO. which is pretty much everyone.  What a great way to learn command.

(snaps to attention)

 Salute

S! Johnny:

I should be able to put that together, but let me review all the mission rosters & summaries to be sure.

S! Moggy, TY for putting this up. As I look over this list I see some great numbers there. It shows how much we are improving.
Also that the guys really enjoyed it because they came back for more every week. Well done again.
