Getting ready to do a reinstall to fix some problems. Considering going with XP Pro (can use my other disk for my boy's computer that I have to build soon...gonna have to buy an OS anyway). Is the 64-bit edition worth the trouble? There are only a few dollars difference in price. I've heard about compatibility issues, and didn't want to by an OS that I would have problems with.

My two cents worth.....

It really depends on your system and your hardware supporting it.  Most do not but they will act as 64-bit which is the cool part.  I have heard lots of mixed reviews from people hating the trouble to people never going back to 32 ever again.  I would say look at your hardware and see if there are known compatiability issues with 64 bit and if they have fixes.
